David moved through the youth ranks at Queen’s Park and signed for the first team in season 2003-2004. He played for Queen’s for 4 seasons playing 94 times for the Spiders before moving to Dumbarton in season 20072008.
David returned to Queen’s Park the following season and played another 23 times for the club.
Next up for David was a move to Alloa Athletic, followed by a move to Ayr United a year later. He next had a season with Clyde, then Montrose, Stirling Albion, Arbroath, Alloa Athletic and Partick thistle before playing with Stenhousemuir in season 2016-2017.
David signed for Queen’s Park in July 2019.
David made his debut for Queen’s Park, away to Peterhead, in the SFL Division Three game on 13 December 2003.
