Salim started playing football, aged 8, with Kelvin Thistle. Two years later he moved to Queen’s Park, playing for the Spiders for a year and a half.
Aged 12 Salim moved to Clyde and played with the Bully Wee for two season before moving to Hearts.
Aged 16 he moved to Motherwell for one season before signing with Stenhousemuir. He played with The Warriors for a year and half then moved to Queen of the South. Next for Salim was Stirling Albion.
He moved back to amateur football with Harestanes AFC in 2016 before joining Vale of Clyde. Salim moved to Kilsyth Rangers at the start of last season.
Salim signed with Queen’s Park on July 2019.
Salim made his debut for Queen’s Park in the Betfred Cup against Hamilton Accies at The FOYS Stadium on Saturday 13 July 2019.
